The genus of cardboard cup

Cardboard, or so-called paper, used to produce such mugs, is a special type of cardboard that is combined with different grammage and polyethylene cover and, as a result, these compounds has been able to significantly increase the resistance of the mugs to heat and hot liquids. The advantage of a polyethylene coating of a cardboard cup compared to plastic cup is to minimize the permeability of liquids to the outer surface of the cup and their chemical effect on the liquid inside it and do not cause such factors as cancer.

Different types of cardboard cup

Cardboard cups are divided into two double-layer and single-layer types based on their strength.

Single-layer cardboard cup

In fact, the single-glazed cardboard cup is the same ordinary paper cup that is available on the market and is made from polyethylene paper in grammage with different thickness.

Double-layer cardboard cup

Double-layer cardboard cups or double-layer paper glasses are the same single-layer cup that, in addition to having the first layer, has an additional cardboard cover, which is better than single-layer cup in terms of strength, insulation and other items.

Cardboard Cup Production Method

To make a cardboard cup, they roll special papers and cut them with raw materials printed in various thicknesses. The thickness of these layers is directly related to the strength of the cups, so that the thicker the cardboard cup is, the more solid the cup is. To print each of the different sizes of these type of cups, you need a separate device. Therefore, the cost of producing a cardboard cup is slightly higher than the plastic cups because of the need for different devices for different sizes, but they have become a logical choice for their harmfulness to health.  To see more samples click here
