Digital Print

There are two options for printing tracts, catalogs, brochures, etc., which are: Digital Printing and offset printing. Each of these two editions has its own process. Join us in this article to talk about Digital Printing and how it differs from offset printing.

Digital Print

In this printing method, there is no complicated time-consuming offset printing process and it is easier to print. In this method, the ink is transferred directly to the surface. The limitation of this print is in the number of its colors. So Digital Printing can only be done in black and white and CMYK colors and does not support Pantone colors. Examples of digital printers are laser printers and inkjet printers.

Advantages of Digital Printing

• The Digital Printing process is fast.
• Digital Printing at low circulation is affordable. The cost of each digital print is recorded and there is no difference in the high number.
• It is possible to change any of the printed versions. For example, you can change the text of invitation cards according to the person you are going to sue.

Disadvantages of Digital Printing

• It has less power to print on different materials and is limited.
• Uses standard colors.
• It has lower quality than offset printing.
• It is expensive to print large products in high circulation.

Digital optical or radiation printing: In this method, there are two stages of printing and emergence.
• Digital Electrophotography Printing: This method uses liquid ink or solid powder compound (toner).
• Laser markers: This method uses surfaces that are sensitive to heat.
• Color sublimation: This method has high speed and quality.

Offset Printing or Digital Printing

If you don't know which to choose between digital and offset printing, read the following to be able to make better decisions.

Project Size As mentioned earlier, Digital Printing is not suitable for high-volume projects. So if your project size is large, use offset printing to have a higher quality and less expensive printing product.

Project Time If you have little time to do the project, it is better to choose Digital Printing. Because offset printing requires more time due to the preparation of zinc and plate.

Printed Surface Material In offset printing, you have the ability to print on different materials and with different sizes and cuts. Although Digital Printing has gained some flexibility, it still has some limitations compared to offset printing.

Color

If you are considering a specific color and you need the same color to be printed, it is better to use offset printing. Because Digital Printing may not print exactly the color you want by providing the best similar color.
